Ingrown nail
Ingrown nail is the driving of the nail plate into the surrounding tissue. The irregular cutting of the nail, narrow and tight shoes, and the injury of the nail itself can lead to this kind of state. This state is painful and almost always leads to an infection of the soft tissue around the nail and if it is not treated, to the eventual bone infection.

How to solve the ingrown nail problem?
An adequate treatment can solve the problem, especially if the patient calls before the infection appears. During the intervention, the doctor removes the part of the nail that grows into the flesh. Before the intervention, as required, it is possible to keep the nail in a moist environment, to soften the surrounding tissue.
If this state occurs again, a permanent solution is in a properly performed surgical intervention of damaging the nail matrix on the edge that grows into the surrounding flesh. The intervention is performed under a local anesthesia and the recovery lasts up to two weeks (performing regular activities is possible already on the third day after the intervention).
